Network Issue Troubleshooting Guidelines

Steps to take in the event of Email, VPN access, SharePoint or other network related issues:

  1. Check the physical network connectivity.  Most network problems arise due to the physical layer failures.
  2. See if your computer can connect to the Internet.  You may be able to reset your network adapter by right-clicking and selecting Troubleshoot problemson your network icon.
    1. If you cannot connect to the Internet, power cycle both modem and router devices.
    2. Internet is working; open ticket at http://expertechsupport.com , a representative will be in contact with you shortly.
  3. Still not working?  Try to reboot your computer and repeat steps 1 & 2.
  4. If you still cannot connect to the server, there may be a local Internet issue, which could be caused by environmental or power failure in the area.  Contact your local ISP for information.
  5. If the ISP confirms that the problem is local, call IT Support at (800) 926-5516 for further assistance.  In the event that you receive the message system, a representative will return your call as soon as possible.
